Madeleine and Chris asked us to build a surreal playground for their (glorious) debut EP, Dialogue. Considering it features the iconic track, Fern Bells, from Queer Man Peeringwe dug up many familiar assets and built a new island. We hope you enjoy it.

Dialogue is both an EP and an online interactive experience. Going down the rabbit hole, themes and elements from the music appear strange and distorted as you wander through virtual space. You can choose to move through the EP as a linear whole, or find your own way, linger in a frozen moment, and direct the drama.

Magic City Counterpoint is Madeleine Cocolas and Chris Perren. Together, they make evocative and textural electronic music.

Dialogue began via a collaboration between Cocolas and Perren, trading files back and forth, slowly constructing a suite of highly textural otherworldly pieces combining ethereal vocal layering with earthy analog textures in slowly evolving minimalistic structures. The carefully crafted compositions that grew from this seemed to demand listeners inhabit its strange world, and explore it from the inside.

Magic City Counterpoint is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.

Wooh, this was marvellous. It was like playing a first person sequel to Queer Man. Why did I felt so emotional saying goodbye to the little pink rock. Thank you so much for this!!

It was very fun to see the world change in time with the music.

My favorites are DREAM STATE and Sun.

I especially liked the music and the feeling of the world when the sun shone in Sun, it was very divine!

I was also very happy to say goodbye to almost everything and find the hidden "Thank you for playing" at the end!

Thank you so much for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
